I have discovered a few fashion styles that are still untouched from the external influences. What they were a decade ago and forgotten are now returning in the race of fashion trends with the same but rejuvenated etiquette.

Recovered fashion styles of India:

  • Palazzo s: These were very classy dresses at the time when many of us were not even born to see the hype of the palazzo s in the early 1970s.

These pants were worn by women, often pairing them with short Kurtis and t-shirts. To the benefit of the young population at the time cinema was already popular and it had adopted palazzos as the costume of actresses’ wholeheartedly and people influenced by cinema had also started wearing the same.

This light of this fashion got dim when chudidar payjamas, and narrow bottoms came into existence.  But things of comfort and importance have its own identity.  Now, the ladies are, daily wearing palazzos. They are pairing them with suit, and t-shirts again.

Repositioning of Palazzos

  1. Addition in palazzos: We can get to see more variety in palazzos. Most preferred is pleated palazzos, trouser style, layered, and the others ranging further.
  2. Comfort zone: After wearing a palazzo a girl can get a sense of comfort. In summers, it doesn’t stick to our body and let the air pass throughout the body and prevents sweating.
  3. Easy to wear: No matter what type of palazzo you are wearing, it is easy to wear and there is no need for a belt. You can stitch the palazzo according to your waist size.
  4. Stitchable: In case you cannot find palazzo in a cloth that suits you then you can buy a cloth, like cotton and get it done by the tailor.
  5. Bell-bottom pants: The history and present of bell-bottom pants resemble a lot with palazzos and among women. Once upon a time, it was famous among men as well. But when this fashion made its way back especially in India, it did not match men’s taste of fashion.
  • Long suit:  It is yet again was in the fashion of our moms and grandmas when western style was hardly introduced owing to the social stereotypes where a pair of salwar-kameez with a  dupatta were must for females. Shirt-pant was not an issue in spite of it being a western pattern of dressing.

Repositioning of a long suit

  1. Being comfortable: Today, it is worn for comfort and not in the sense of being an Indian lady.
  2. Designs: The long suits/ Kurtis are designed in a way that doesn’t need to be over-dressed.
  3. Pairing: It can be pairing with jeans, leggings, and palazzos hence, serving solely Indian and Indo-western purpose. Rest is your choice.
  • Frock suits: Frock suits also known as Anarkali suit from the time of Mughal-e-Azam is  the love of all the ladies. The special component of this dress is that is reserved for special occasions. It cannot be ignored that for a few years lehngas had taken a toll over the Anarkali suits.

It creates a sense of royalty whenever it is  worn by a lady. She looks exactly like a princess of a huge empire.

Repositioning of Frock  Suits

Honestly speaking, frock suits do not need a special mention. It is redecorated in the form of beautiful embroideries and use of better quality clothes to give it the best of its effects.

Fashion styles are never out of trend, it is about when we recognize, accept and flaunt them flawlessly.
