Name the book that introduced fashion to you. Can you think of just reading something and adopting the same?  I never do so.

Fashion as a belief

Most of us don’t know what to wear and how to present ourselves and we often end up copying each others dressing sense and sometimes make up as well for example- red lipstick, bright makeup, heavy jewellery, etc.

Unless and until we don’t believe and accept what is being presented to us it can’t become a fashion. We often have to go through certain stages of fashion which may or may not take much time but helps us in decision making.

Stages of defining fashion for that we follow:

  1. Introduction: We are introduced to a certain pattern of fashion and the styles in which those can be carried. It can be a direct introduction or indirect as well. Suppose, you visit a clothes store and ask to show a good dress for you. The salesman will ask about what kind of dress are you willing to have. In case, you are clueless he will start showing you what is trending at the time.
  2. Trial round: You will like to try a dress after its introduction to you and then you will wear it and check the same from every angle. So, this is the trial room session and the second stage in the process of discovering your own style.
  3. Advice: While getting a new for ourselves we all have that curiosity to take views of our family and friend. Similarly, you may also take an opinion about the dress being chosen.
  4. Decision: At this stage, only your opinion matters. If you are unable to decide then others opinions will automatically become prime and if you are conscious about your style then it would be easy for you to easily decide how nicely the dress can enhance your look. Rejection and acceptance happen in this stage.
  5. Acceptance: Once you have decided about you what you have to for then it automatically means that you have accepted it. When something is accepted from our heart it gives utmost happiness that is invaluable and cannot be measured to any length.
  6. Believed: Belief is what that keeps us alive. Now, you have a complete idea and you are sure that you are going with your chosen fashion and referring the same to others.

Fashion is universal. It is not gendered. You must know about your needs. We all have certain criterions of fashion according to which we try to mould our fashion styles. We will look further at fashion and styles from various angles and can ourselves decide that what kind of fashion genre we are living in keeping our beliefs firm.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
